الأسئلة الشائعة (MYP)

• دورة الجدولة ذات الثمانية أيام تمتد على مدار 8 أيام دراسية (باستثناء عطلة نهاية الأسبوع).
• Instead of the weekdays (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, etc), our cycle days are referred to as Day One, Day Two until Day Eight.
• At the end of the 8th day, Day 1 will re-start for the next 8-day cycle.
• The 8 Day cycles calendar is available in the student planner and on the portal.

•  A homework slip is issued to all students every cycle (Day 1) for the Grade6 to Grade 10 classes.
• سيُعطى طلاب مرحلة الصف السادس نسخة مطبوعة من ورقة الواجب المنزلي.
• All students and parents can access the homework slip through the JKS Portal by following the below steps:
  • Login to jksortal.net using your Parental login or Student login details provided in the letter sent by email on the first day of school
  • From the Menu, select Academics
  • اختيار "ورقة الواجبات".
• You will also be able to access previous homework slips through the same page.
• Students must complete the homework on the assigned day and submit it to the teacher as scheduled on the homework slip.

ManageBac هو نظام إدارة تعليم تتبناه المدرسة، ويتيح ما يلي:

• تسجيل الطلاب في صفوف المواد المحددة.
• وصول الطلاب إلى الموارد (عروض تقديمية، فيديوهات، أوراق عمل، مفاتيح إجابة...) التي يستخدمها المعلم في الصف.
• موارد إضافية لتعزيز التعلم.
• إعلانات وتذكيرات ينشرها المعلم.
• تسليم الواجبات بصيغة رقمية عند الحاجة.

يمكن الدخول إلى الموقع عبر الضغط على أيقونة ManageBac في بوابة JKS.

• Assessments take place continuously throughout the quarter for all grade levels.
• A quiz schedule and lessons notification are released every quarter ahead of the scheduled dates for the quizzes. These are accessible through JKS Portal under Students and Parents Tab.
• End of quarter assessments also take place four times a year for all grade levels. Schedules, Notifications and Revision Packs are released 2 weeks in advance through the JKSPortal, under the Academics Tab. 

يمكن لأولياء الأمور الدخول إلى تبويب PlusPortals – Parent من خلال بوابة JKSPortal للاطلاع على درجات أبنائهم طوال الفصل الدراسي. تعتمد هذه الدرجات على تسليم الواجبات والمهام، وإنجاز الأعمال الصفية، والاختبارات التي يتم إجراؤها. يتم مراجعة هذه الدرجات وتحديثها باستمرار خلال الفصل، وتُعتبر نهائية فقط عند إصدار بطاقة التقرير.

يتم عرض الأداء بشكل شامل في نهاية كل فصل دراسي لجميع المراحل. ستصلكم إشعارات عبر البريد الإلكتروني والرسائل النصية عند توفر التقرير، ويمكنكم الاطلاع عليه من خلال تبويب PlusPortals – Parent عبر بوابة JKSPortal.

Parents can monitor their child’s progress throughout the quarter by viewing continuous assessment grades on the Plus Portal accessible through the JKSPortal. In addition, a Parent-Teacher Conference is scheduled following the release of the Quarter 1 report card, providing an opportunity to discuss academic progress and areas for growth with teachers. A needs-based ParentTeacher Conference is also held after the release of the Quarter 2 report card for students who may require additional support or follow-up.

If parents have any concerns or questions at any time during the school year, they may request a meeting through JKSinfo via email, and the relevant teacher will be contacted to arrange a discussion.

Grade point average (GPA) is a system for evaluating a student’s overall academic performance in high school. At JKS, each grade 9 – 12 student’s cumulative grade point average includes all high school grades and is weighted based on the course’s credit. It is updated and included on the official transcript each year, and used for university admissions.

Parents can access their child’s behavioural records through the Discipline System available on the JKS Portal. We encourage parents to review the system weekly to monitor any behavioural infractions or merits issued to their child.

Regular monitoring helps parents stay informed about their child’s conduct and reinforces a strong partnership between home and school in supporting positive behaviour and personal growth.

 تحظى مدرسة JKS بالاعتماد من مجلس المدارس الدولية (CIS) ورابطة نيو إنجلاند للمدارس والكليات (NEASC) بالإضافة إلى منظمة البكالوريا الدولية (IB).

تُعد JKS أول مدرسة في المملكة العربية السعودية تقدم تسلسل البكالوريا الدولية (IB Continuum)، وحاصلة على اعتماد لتقديم البرامج الثلاثة للبكالوريا الدولية.

• Primary Years Programme: offered for students aged 3 to 12, which at JKS corresponds to grades 1 to 5.
• Middle Years Programme: offered for students aged 11 to 16, which at JKS corresponds to grades 6 to 10.
• Diploma Programme: offered for students aged 16 to 19, which at JKS corresponds to grades 11 and 12.

منهج البكالوريا الدولية (IB) هو منهج معترف به عالميًا ويُعد رائدًا في مجال التعليم الدولي.

Aligned with JKS’s mission for academic excellence, the IB helps students develop the knowledge, attitudes and skills needed to participate actively and responsibly in a changing and increasingly interrelated world. The IB encourages students to be active learners, well-rounded individuals and engaged world citizens. Its coherent and comprehensive curriculum framework is carefully designed to support the personal, social and emotional well-being of the students as they are establishing their identity and building their self-esteem. The IB motivates students and helps them to achieve success both in school and in life beyond the classroom. The IB programmes allow students to build on their personal strengths and to embrace challenges in subjects in which they might not excel.

 يعرض ملف متعلم البكالوريا الدولية (IB Learner Profile) مجموعة واسعة من القدرات والمسؤوليات التي تُسهم في تشكيل أعضاء فاعلين في العالم، وتمتد لما هو أبعد من مجرد النجاح الأكاديمي. ويعكس ذلك التزامًا بمساعدة جميع أفراد مجتمع المدرسة على تعلّم احترام أنفسهم والآخرين والعالم من حولهم. ويهدف الملف إلى تنمية متعلمين يكونون:

 The MYP curriculum framework comprises eight subject groups, providing a broad and balanced education for early adolescents. Students take the courses of:

• اللغة والأدب – تُقدَّم باللغتين الإنجليزية والعربية
• الأفراد والمجتمعات
• الرياضيات
• العلوم
• التربية البدنية والصحية
• الفنون – تُقدَّم كفنون بصرية وأدائية
• التصميم – يُقدَّم كتصميم رقمي ومنتجات وتقنية المعلومات والاتصالات (ICT)
• اكتساب اللغة – تُقدَّم الفرنسية والإسبانية في الصفين التاسع والعاشر

 A unique feature of the programme is that it places the students at the center of learning, extending the traditional curriculum to include a focus on conceptual learning, contextual learning, approaches to teaching and approaches to learning. They are drawing connections between all subject areas, completing a minimum of one Interdisciplinary unit in each year of the programme. In the MYP, students’ learning experiences are explicitly linked to the world around them, infuse global points of view wherever possible in order to promote understanding of other cultures, an awareness of the human condition and an understanding that there is a commonality of human experience.

يكمل طلاب الصف العاشر في السنة الأخيرة من برنامج السنوات المتوسطة (MYP) مشروعًا شخصيًا، وهو عمل مستقل يتم إنجازه على مدى فترة طويلة تحت إشراف معلّم موجّه، وقائد المشروع الشخصي، ومنسق البرنامج. يُشجَّع الطلاب على اختيار موضوع يعبّر عن اهتماماتهم الشخصية وتقديم استكشافهم في شكل إبداعي مثل: عمل كتابي أصلي، إنتاج فني، تحقيق علمي أصلي، خطة عمل، تنفيذ مشروع خدمي، أو أي شكل آخر من أشكال التعبير. يُرحب بمشاركة مجتمع المدرسة بأكمله والمجتمع الأوسع في حضور هذا الحدث. هذا المشروع يجسّد جميع المهارات البينية التي اكتسبها الطلاب خلال سنوات برنامج MYP.
