Grade Four girls have been learning about how the brain and nervous system function in the body, and how learning takes place. The students have been learning about the three main parts of the brain and their functions. Also, how neurons make connections throughout the body and communicate with the brain without them even realizing it.
Additionally, the students are learning how they learn best and how to apply that in the classroom. They are learning to be responsible for their own learning. Furthermore, they are learning how to brainstorm using a mind map. This allows the students organize their thoughts better before they write.
